Winter 2013

December 5th, -0 temps, blowing and drifting snow. It's time to think of winter work, cleaning closets, bookcases, and looking through containers packed away from the busy summer months.

Thanksgiving 2013

I missed my girls today, we had a house full, lots of stories, laughter, and food. Danika was a great help in the kitchen, and I certainly appreciate all of the good food everyone brought.  Some pictures from Thanksgiving 2013.

Oh Deer

This fall we noticed the deer population seemed to be in decline.  Will spent early mornings dressed in orange sitting in his deer stand, only to report he'd only seen a couple of does.  I didn't think about deer as I drove home from work Monday.  After all hunting season was over and the deer were settled in the woods again. When I was about a mile from Wild Flower, a big buck jumped out of the ditch and into the Toyota.

• I enjoyed an afternoon in the woods with the branch trimmer, four wheeler and trailer. The end result is winter decorations for the front porch

August 20

We celebrated our 14th anniversary. Our guests were Kiazer and Kolby. Kolby came to live with us only a week ago, and Kiazer is a reluctant mentor. He is a good natured retriever with alot of energy!  Will and I dined at Spankey's on Rose Lake.
